Dark Chocolate Marinara Sauce

Heat the oil in over medium heat in saucepan. Add garlic, and saute for about one minute.

Add the remaining ingredients, and stir to combine everything.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer about 15 minutes.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta, then drain. Top the pasta with sauce, and sprinkle cheese on top.

Ingredients
  1. 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
  2. 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  3. 1 15ounce can crushed tomato
  4. 1 15 ounce can diced tomato (or 2 cans both of either type of tomato)
  5. 1 ounce dark chocolate
  6. ¼ teaspoon each dried oregano, dried basil, black pepper
  7. 1 teaspoon salt
  8. ¼ cup fresh basil, torn
  9. 1 pound dried pasta (I used penne)
  10. Parmesan cheese, grated
